I gave a shot at uninstalling and reinstalling the s/w so that I could get the free no. of trials but it did not work out. The application failed to start giving the same message.

So I had to do a workaround, a registry tweak . After uninstalling the s/w again I deleted all entries about that s/w from registry. To do this .. go to run, enter regedit. The registry opens , then do a Ctrl+F to find all entries matching that s/w name and delete them.

Now Reinstall the s/w. It is like a fresh installation and bang your application works easily.

You can use this tweak whenever you encountered a problem related to such freewares which say free for particular no. of days.abhi abhi mere dil me ye khayal aaya haihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04543479902522518262noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7817629283146963568.post-30534526125362797292009-01-06T13:21:00.000-08:002009-01-20T03:59:22.545-08:00This post is about an initiative taken to act as a one-shot solution to all your problems.

Panacea offers different short-term courses of significant practical utility whose impact cannot be described in words.

Go to Panacea WebSite

Time is running out of your hands. Probably it was busy downloading something.

Simple cure : I searched for this exe and deleted . Of course first killed the process from task manager.

Second one was more complicated . there were a trojens .. something named Backdoor something . it was detected by symantec in some temp directories but it failed to repair(delete/quarantine) it. .

Cure: I hd to boot my system in safe mode and then scan the system. Symantec was able to fix one of them but not the other. So to remove the second I had to manually delete the file from cmd prompt and this fixed the problem.

Third one was the autorun virus which caused my drives to open in a new window when doublw clicked. It is basically bec it craetes an autorun.inf file in drives.

Cure: I found out that I had to delete these autorun.inf files ..but how ?? windows dint even show them. I then used cmd promp and I had to do an attrib -r -h -s commnad to remove the readonly, hidden and system file attributed from the file. Then i could delete it.. but it was not that easy. It was created automatically after a few secs. So now what to do ??
Again safe mode worked. I followed the same steps in safe mode and it all worked. the virus disappeared.

Enough for this post.

abhi abhi mere dil me ye khayal aaya haihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04543479902522518262noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7817629283146963568.post-22389430280429005582008-11-01T14:28:00.000-07:002009-01-20T03:53:15.846-08:00recommendation letterA lot of times , I found my self in a situation where I needed to get recommendation from someone say a professor and the professor would ask me to get a draft of reco letter and I was like frm where on earth I know what a professor writes in reco letter. I had ample opportunity to observe and evaluate his academic potentials during this period.

I have instructed him in the courses of ABC in his junior year, along with its tutorial classes. During this period I have seen that he is open to new ideas & is quick to grasp new concepts. He is among few students who is very focused and has a clear picture of his career objective.

In the Junior Year, I guided him in his summer Project titled “PQR". With his hard work and sincerity he won the prestigious” MNO: award I have found ABC an ability to conduct research both at an individual level as well as a part of the team.

He has a good command over spoken and written English and is able to communicate effectively. He has excellent Analytical and Quantative scores in GRE, which makes him ideal for research in science subjects. With his many abilities, I think, he is eminently suited for higher studies and research and would make a fine research/teaching assistant.

On the above basis, I would rate him among the top 5 % of the students. I strongly recommend ABC for admission to the graduate program at your university with full financial aid so that he can devote himself fully to the pursuit of learning and thus bring laurels to your as well as our Institute.abhi abhi mere dil me ye khayal aaya haihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04543479902522518262noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7817629283146963568.post-14165528923811411562008-10-15T10:12:00.000-07:002009-01-20T03:50:37.624-08:00Tips and Tricks ..continuedJust a couple of passing tricks:

If you browse a lot through your directories in windows, just try this and you will do wonders with your speed:
use the folder option provided on the menubar at the top of any window in windows. click on that button and a left navigation bar will appear. now use that to go anywhere than the double clicking on every folder stuff.

The second tip : Many times you will find yourself in a situation where you want to access a file and you are not able to bec of some reason..probably a virus. Now I feel like writing about the void that would appear when the fab four namely Sachin, Saurav, Dravid and Laxman will retire from International cricket.

Since my childhood I have seen Indian team play with Sachin the mainstay. Its difficult to imagine the team winning without him. In my childhood days, he was the only player whom people had their faiths. If he was out, it was almost like team had lost match. Now its different. Now there is Sehwag, Yuvi, Gautam and the likes. Less pressure on Sachin yet SAchin is SAchin . God of cricket.
Too big shoes to fill in.

Rest 3 are less mainstays but yet the number of victories they have achieved cant be overlooked. Indian cricket will certainly feel the gap when all these pull up their shoes.abhi abhi mere dil me ye khayal aaya haihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04543479902522518262noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7817629283146963568.post-25219536541334612732007-06-21T04:10:00.001-07:002007-06-21T04:38:50.930-07:00Some Cooking ExperienceSince i had made my first blog eons back and had left that blank fo the time being,i desperately wanted to edit it but didn't find on option,so eventually gave up and decided on beginning on a fresh note.

Let me also tell you I am a dilettante at blogging so forgive me if you find it too boring or trite.

So,when i woke up at 12:30 on a weekday with already made up mind to play hooky once again in this internship (luxury intern as an IITD intern said) i searched for the options available for breakfast and decided to do away with the usual maggi or no breakfast and try my hands on the pizza base languishing in the fridge. So I placed the pizza-in-the-making in the microwave and in the mean time permitting the lady who comes for room cleaning to clean my room.I was specially annoyed by her as she had kept me bugging by asking again and again yesterday to allow me to do her and i was reluctant to leave my room. So i ensconced myself on the sofa and got engrossed in reading TOI.

When the pizza flashed in my mind i realized that it might be a bit late but i was hoping against hope. When i saw what i had cooked i realized that it would not have taken a genius to realize that i was a tyro at the culinary skills.Still it was if not delicious, palatable. So that was some real cooking experience, but am not done with that,as I am writing this post I am motivated to try my hands on rice.

I hope this was not that bad a post considering that I am blogging for the first time.abhi abhi mere dil me ye khayal aaya haihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04543479902522518262noreply@blogger.com0
